Huawei held a launch event in China earlier today filled with multiple announcements including the Huawei Enjoy 50z phone which is actually a rebadged nova Y61 for the Chinese market. Enjoy 50z brings a 6.52-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. There’s a 5MP selfie cam housed in a waterdrop drop style notch while the back brings a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture alongside a 2MP macro cam and a 2MP depth module.
The phone is powered by an unnamed
octa-core processor paired with 6GB RAM and 128/256GB storage which is further
expandable via the microSD slot. The phone has a 5,000 mAh battery with 22.5W
charging and boots HarmonyOS 2.0. Other notable features include dual-band
Wi-Fi support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack.
Huawei Enjoy 50z is available in Sapphire
Blue, Mint Green and Magic Night Black colors. Pricing for the 6/128GB trim
starts at CNY 1,199 (US$ 172) while the 8/256GB model is going for CNY 1,399
(US$ 201). Open sales in China start on December 26 Huawei also formally
introduced its nova 10 SE for the Chinese market with pricing details.
The 6/128GB model will go for CNY 1,999
(US$ 287) while the 8/256GB version is set at CNY 2,299 (US$ 330). The device is
already on open sale via Huawei’s online store and partnering retailers.
