A couple of weeks back, Honor hosted a launch event where the company launched a bunch of smartphones, including the Honor 80 SE. It was announced as the most affordable device in the Honor 80 lineup that already has Honor 80 and 80 Pro. Now, the Honor 80 SE smartphone is available for purchase in the Chinese market. The device goes on sale for the first time in China today for a starting price of 2,399 yuan, which is approximately US$ 345.
The base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB of
internal storage is priced at 2,399 yuan (US$ 345), while the other model that
packs 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage costs 2,699 yuan (US$ 388). It is
offered in four color options — Moonlight Crystal, Iceland Fantasy, Cherry Pink
Coral, and Bright Black.
Coming to the specifications, the Honor 80
SE features a 6.67-inch curved OLED Full HD+ display with a screen resolution
of 2400 x 1080 and a 120Hz refresh rate. The 10-bit centered punch-hole panel
has a 20:9 aspect ratio and supports 1920Hz PWM dimming.
Under the hood, the device is powered by
the MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. In the camera department, there’s a triple
camera setup on the back that includes a 64MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide
lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front side, it features a 32MP snapper for
taking selfies and video calling.
The phone comes with support for Hi-Res
Audio along with the standard set of connectivity features. The device runs the
Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own MagicOS 7.0
custom interface. It is powered by a 4,600mAh battery and supports 66W fast
charging.
