Motorola's ever-increasing roster of smartphones is about to get even bulkier, since the company is apparently planning on launching the Moto G Play (2022) at some point in the near future. The handset has been leaked today, complete with the images you see below and a full rundown of its most important specs. It comes with a 6.5-inch 720x1600 IPS LCD touchscreen, the MediaTek Helio G37 SoC at the helm, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 10W charging.
On the back there's a 16 MP main camera
flanked by a 2 MP macro shooter and a 2 MP depth sensor, while selfies are
taken care of by a 5 MP snapper. The Moto G Play (2022) runs Android 12, even
though Android 13 is already out. Compared to its predecessor from last year,
this model has a different chipset and a higher-res main camera, as well as a
new, more trendy rear design.
Given the specs here, this device's main
selling point will undoubtedly be its price, which unfortunately hasn't been
leaked. It has to be cheap, though, otherwise it can't sell well. It's unclear
exactly when it will become official, but it has to be soon. We'll keep you
posted.
