The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro was announced back in late June. It brings a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution with support for 120Hz refresh rate. The display, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, is also designed to be operated with wet hands or gloves. The hardware is rated for IP68 water and dust resistance.
The Xcover 6 Pro is powered by a
Snapdragon 778G chipset paried with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage
via microSD. There’s a removable 4,050mAh battery and support for 15W charging,
or charge via pogo pins on a supported cradle.
The phone features a programmable
push-to-talk button, headphone jack, loudspeaker with boost mode, and support
for Samsung DeX. In the camera department: a 50MP main camera with f/1.8
aperture and 8MP ultrawide shooter. Around front, there is a 13MP selfie camera
and the Xcover 6 Pro will run Android 12 out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro will be
available starting on October 20 though US carriers and later offered through
Samsung.com, Samsung Business, Amazon Business, and IT channel partners.
Pricing information hasn’t yet been confirmed by Samsung.
