After rumours, Xiaomi’s Redmi brand today confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 12 series smartphones in China this October. The company said that this will be the largest upgrade ever in the Note series. It is yet to reveal the design and specifications of the phone officially.
According to leaker Digital Chat Station,
it will be powered by Dimensity 1080
SoC, most probably for the Redmi Note 12 Pro series. To remind you, the Redmi
Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ which were launched in China last year are powered
by Dimensity 920 SoC. The phones were launched in India earlier this year as
Xiaomi 11i and 11i Hypercharge.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro series is rumoured
to pack a 50MP rear camera, 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. The Redmi Note 12 (22101316C) is expected to
support 67W charging and the Redmi Note 12 Pro (22101316UCP) could come with
120W fast charging, according to 3C certification. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+
(22101316UC) is expected to come with support for 180W or 210W fast charging.
