A couple of days back, Xiaomi launched its new Redmi series laptop in its home market China, dubbed Redmi G Pro Gaming Laptop Ryzen Edition. Today, it is officially available for purchase in the Chinese market. The high-end laptop is priced at 7,599 yuan, which roughly converts to $1,094. As the name itself indicates, the device is made especially for gamers and comes with a powerful set of specifications.
The Redmi G Pro Ryzen Edition features a
16-inch LCD panel that supports a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels along
with a high refresh rate of 240Hz. It also comes with support for 100% sRGB
color gamut, 500nit brightness, 10bit color depth, DC Dimming, and HDR 400
certification. Under the hood, the device is powered by the AMD Ryzen R7-6800H
processor, coupled with RTX 3060 6G 130W graphics processor. In terms of
memory, the device packs 16GB dual-channel DDR5-4800 RAM and 512GB PCIe 4.0
SSD.
It also comes with four heat pipes and
dual 12V fans to ensure the temperature remains in check even under heavy load.
There’s a USB-C port with 100W PD support, three USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, one
USB-A 2.0 port, a Mini DP 1.4 port, HDMI 2.0 port, an SD card slot, and a 3.5mm
headphone hack along with a network port and a DC power port.
Coming to the software department, the
device runs the Microsoft Windows 11 operating system out-of-the-box. The
laptop, which weighs 2.66kg and measures 28.45mm in thickness, is powered by an
80Wh battery and comes with a 330W power adapter.
