POCO has confirmed the release date for their highly anticipated POCO M5 smartphone. The firm has sent out save-the-date invitations for a launch on September 5. However, credible sources have informed us that the POCO M5 may not be the only smartphone to be introduced on that day. It appears that the POCO M5s will be released on the same date.
The mid-range MediaTek Helio G95 is
expected to power the POCO M5s. POCO M5 will have a Helio G99 processor, and
the company has shared that it has scored 378K points on AnTuTu, better than
the Snapdragon 680. The device will come in three memory configurations as
follows: the POCO M5 is expected to come with 4GB/64GB; 4GB/128GB of storage;
and 6GB/128GB of storage. The POCO M5s is most likely a Redmi Note 10s that has
been given a new name. Under the hood, the smartphone’s Helio G95 SoC supports
up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Additionally, a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD screen,
a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and a side-mounted fingerprint
scanner are also believed to be featured. It is anticipated to run MIUI 13 on
top of Android 12. The M5s, on the other hand, is rumoured to come in
three-colour variations: grey, blue, and white, and it ought to offer the same
storage possibilities as POCO M5.
The typical connectivity features, such as
dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C connector, and a 3.5mm
headphone jack, could be included. The POCO M5 is expected to have an appealing
look as it will keep the leather-like pattern on the rear shell, according to
the leaks. According to rumours, the M5’s price in India will be under INR
15,000.
On September 5, at 8 PM Beijing time (5:30
PM IST), there will be an online event that will serve as the unveiling of POCO
M5 and POCO M5s. The live stream will be available on YouTube and other POCO
India social media channels.
