LG Electronics has introduced LG OLED Flex (model LX3), the world’s first 42-inch OLED screen that can bend. The LG OLED Flex ushers in a brand-new era of screen customization and is ideal for immersive console, PC, and cloud gaming as well as enjoying live TV broadcasts and content streaming services. Users can select their ideal arc from twenty levels of curvature on the LX3’s amazing display, which can transform from absolutely flat to magnificently curving (900R) for a genuinely customized viewing experience. Recently, LG unveiled its UltraGear 240Hz Curved OLED Gaming Monitor and UltraFine Display Ergo AI.
LG’s backlight-free, self-lit OLED
technology makes the LG OLED Flex conceivable. Whether flat or curved, the LG
OLED evo-equipped LX3 delivers amazing picture quality and performance. LG OLED
Flex has limitless contrast, deep blacks, accurate colours (100 percent colour
fidelity verified), a lightning-fast 0.1 millisecond reaction time, and low
input latency.
LG OLED Flex features flicker-free and
glare-free certifications in addition to lifelike image quality powered by an α
(Alpha) 9 Gen 5 intelligent processor and unique picture algorithms. The LX3’s
OLED screen reduces eye fatigue for longer gaming and binge-watching sessions.
Another feature, the super anti-reflection (SAR) coating, reduces visual
distractions so users can focus on the screen.
The foldable 42-inch display may be
customized for a more personalized experience. Users can modify the LX3’s
curvature to one of two presets or manually in 5% increments over 20 settings.
LG OLED Flex’s screen can be tilted 10 degrees toward or away from the user and
is height-adjustable by 140 mm, ensuring ergonomic comfort for sitters and
leaners.
The LX3 has exclusive features and
functions that give gamers more control. Users can alter the image size based
on their tastes or the game genre. RPG, racing, and platformer fans will want
to use the entire 42-inch screen, while RTS and FPS gamers may prefer a 32- or
27-inch display to view everything at once. The picture resizing feature is
accessible via the Gaming Dashboard menu, where users can position the smaller
image high, low, or centered.
The new Game app on the LX3 lets you set
up screensavers, gives you quick links to popular apps like Twitch and YouTube,
and shows you which external input devices are connected. LG’s Gaming Optimizer
for LG OLED Flex has customizable sound settings for particular game genres.
Its game sound settings panel features an equalizer, AI Game Sound and Dolby
Atmos switches, and advanced audio options, allowing users to customize their
gaming experience.
The Multi View option allows gamers to
view content from two sources at the same time and select which audio to hear.
They can play a PC or console game while streaming YouTube videos on their
phone. The Switching Hub function lets you use the LG OLED Flex’s built-in microphone
and USB peripherals like a headset, keyboard, or mouse with a PC connected by
HDMI. Users can switch between PC and LG OLED Flex by pressing the source
switching button on the LX3’s stand. The built-in mic reduces echo for clear
gaming chats.
The LX3’s two front-firing 40W speakers
enhance gaming and content viewing. With Dolby Atmos compatibility, the TV
improves audio clarity, depth, and vitality. With Dolby Vision gaming at 4K
120Hz and HDMI 2.1 features like variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low
latency mode (ALLM), LG’s OLED TVs, including the new LG OLED Flex, offer one
of the best big-screen gaming experiences. LG’s flexible display is G-SYNC
compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium certified, delivering tear- and
stutter-free graphics. LG OLED Flex’s shield-like rear design includes a
configurable illumination feature. The LX3’s lighting synchronizes with the
video or audio of the on-screen content, enabling five modes.
The LG Flex LX3 will be showcased at IFA
2022, and availability and pricing will be revealed in the coming weeks.
