ASUS has a new gaming monitor called the ROG Swift PG42UQ which will be the world's first widescreen UHD OLED with a high refresh rate. At the first glance, you will see that it is built with a slim, modern, and minimalist design but ASUS manages to retain a touch of gamery vibe on it. It has thin borders on all four sides while you can see the mini ROG logo printed in Red on its metal base.
The display uses an OLED panel with a wide
41.5-inch size, 4K 3840 x 2160 resolution, up to 138Hz refresh rate, and 0.1ms
response time. It even has an anti-glare micro-texture coating, uniform
brightness, color accurate of 98 percent DCI-P3, Delta E <2, and a true
10-bit panel.
The gaming brand also included a custom
heatsink that can work by up to 8 percent lower temperature for long-term
usage. Users may also navigate the OSD through the 5-way joystick or you may
also do that using the remote control with added functionality such as volume
control, mute, and circular navigation pad.
The monitor is also equipped with three
stereo speakers, two of which have 10W Harman Kardon tuning while the other one
is a 15W subwoofer. Moreover, the PG42UQ has Aspect control which modifies the
aspect ratios into 24, 27, or 34-inch for those who prefer to game on smaller
displays.
Finally, its connectivity options are 2x
HDMI 2.0, 2x HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and even a USB hub and tripod socket at
the top of the monitor.
ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG42UQ priced at USD
1,399.
