Rumors about Xiaomi launching a 200 MP camera have been circulating since last July, and according to one leaked photo, this is finally about to happen. An image on Phonandroid showcased a camera island that looks a lot like the Redmi K50 Ultra with its black protruding square that houses the main shooter. The setup has “200 MP” in writing, and the source claimed the photo is of a phone called Xiaomi 12T Pro.
The Redmi K50 Ultra was announced in China
and Xiaomi regularly relaunches its Redmi products under different names on the
global market, so we are quite confident it will be relaunched as a 12T Pro. If
the company decides to change the camera but keep the rest of the specs, we
expect a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. The Redmi K50 Ultra model number is
22081212C, while this alleged 12T Pro is 22081212UG - the difference is in the
last letter, revealing the market designation - China or Global.
If the rumors are true, this will be the
second phone with a Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor after the Moto X30 Pro,
introduced earlier this month.
