The Vivo Y35 4G smartphone has passed through the BIS certification website. This is a major sign that the handset is coming to India soon. Vivo is prepping to unveil the Y35 in Malaysia in the coming days. The brand recently appointed Malaysian singer Iman Troye as the ambassador for the upcoming handset. Vivo Malaysia will host a Y35 launch event on Thursday, August 11. Moreover, the company will bring the Y-series to India and a slew of other markets.
Regrettably, Vivo is still mum on the Vivo
Y35 4G smartphone’s India launch date. Meanwhile, the purported Vivo Y35 has
been certified by the Indian BIS certification website. The BIS (Bureau of
Indian Standards) listing confirms that the Vivo budget phone is coming to
India soon. Further, the listing reveals that the device carries model number
V2205. On the downside, it doesn’t divulge any other key details about the
handset. Yet, past leaks have shed some light on the handset’s specs and other
details.
First off, the Vivo Y35 will be a 4G-ready
smartphone. Moreover, it will be available in two color options, including
Black and Gold. The rear panel will be made using polycarbonate material,
featuring a plastic, flat frame. The device passed through the Geekbench and
EEC websites last month. As per the Geekbench listing, the Vivo Y35 will pack
an octa-core Qualcomm processor. Further, the handset will sport a 6.58-inch
IPS LCD panel with a 60Hz refresh rate.
Notably, the display will feature a
water-drop notch for the selfie camera. For optics, the Y35 will house three
rear-mounted cameras. It will have thin bezels, except for the chin. Also, the
handset will probably get a 50MP main camera. A report by GSM Arena suggests
that it could feature two 2MP sensors as well. Upfront, the Y35 could sport a
16MP shooter for selfies and video calls. A robust 5000 mAh battery will be
powering up the entire system. This cell will reportedly support 10W charging.
The word on the street is that the Vivo
Y35 will come with a Snapdragon 680 SoC. Also, it will ship with 8GB of RAM and
offer 256GB of onboard storage. Lastly, the device weighs about 188 grams and
is 8.28mm thick.
