A clear picture of the Xiaomi Redmi K50S Pro is slowly starting to take shape. This phone is rumored to be Xiaomi’s first with a 200MP camera, possibly the first, depending on how the launch timing works out against Motorola (the 200MP Moto phone was supposed to come out in July, but it seems it got delayed).
Either way, that 200MP camera sounds
impressive, but it and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset may have eaten up all
the budget. The other two cameras on the back are rumored to be a basic 8MP
ultra wide and a 2MP macro (plus a 20MP camera on the front). These are the
specs that leakster Yogesh Brar reports.
The rest of the phone will be on the
level, including the 6.67” AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+
support. The phone should launch with Android 12/MIUI 13 out of the box and
(based on TENAA data) it will have 8/128GB and 12/256GB memory configurations.
Brar confirms other rumored specs like the 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast
charging. The phone should also feature an in-display fingerprint reader and
dual speakers.
By the way, a vanilla Xiaomi Redmi K50S is
also expected, powered by the Dimensity 8100. These two will reportedly be
rebranded as the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro for the global market. There is no
confirmed launch date yet.
