The Huawei MateBook 16s is the company's flagship laptop. It's heavily based on last year's Matebook 16, however, this year Huawei has moved to the latest 12th gen Intel processors, instead of last year's AMD Ryzen options. You can choose either the Core i7-12700H (with 6 performance and 8 efficient cores), or the i9-12900H (also 6 performance and 8 efficient cores, but a maximum boost of 5GHz).
The display is the same 16-inch
2520x1680px 3:2 touchscreen panel. It supports 100% of the sRGB gamut, has a
1500:1 contrast ratio, and up to 300 nits. The panel comes calibrated with an
average Delta E of below 1. Graphics are handled by the Intel Iris Xe, as
there's no discrete GPU. You get 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a choice between 512GB
or 1TB NVMe PCIe storage.
The MateBook 16s has an 84 Wh battery and
a 135W charger in the box. Huawei will sell the MateBook 16s from July 13
through its official retail store. The Core i7 variant is £ 1,300, while the
Core i9 is € 1,500. Buyers who purchase the i7 model from July 13 and July 23
will get a free MateView GT 27 monitor, while buyers of the i9 model, in the
period between July 13 and July 26 will get a free MateView monitor.
