Xiaomi has quietly launched the new Mi Box 4S Max flagship TV box with HDMI 2.1 and 8K support in China. GizmoChina has spotted the listing for the Xiaomi Mi Box 4S MAX on the Chinese e-commerce website JingDong. This new Mi Box 4S Max is the successor to 2018's Mi TV Box 4.
The new TV Box features a new 64-bit
quad-core Amlogic S905X3 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. It now
comes with an HDMI 2.1 interface which supports 4K and 8K image quality with
dynamic HDR. It also supports 8K hard decoding, Dolby and DTS sound effects,
dual-band WiFi and wireless casting. It is running on MIUI for TV and it
supports MIJIA app, XiaoAI voice and Bluetooth voice remote.
You can also watch media from your phone,
hard drive or USB drives. Users can also install games and other apps like most
TV boxes. Mi Box 4S MAX priced at CNY 499. The device is now listed at JD.com
but is not yet available for purchase. There is no word yet on International or
Philippine pricing and availability.
