The Vivo V25 series smartphone’s India launch timeline has been tipped. The lineup will comprise three smartphones. Vivo hasn’t announced the V25 series for any region yet. However, the company could unveil the much-awaited Vivo V23 successor soon. To recap, the V25 Pro bagged the IMEI certification last month. The IMEI database revealed details about the handset’s RAM and storage options. Now, an India Today Tech report has shed light on the Vivo V25 series India launch timeline. The series will include three smartphones. These include the Vivo V25, Vivo V25 Pro, and Vivo V25e models.
Vivo will launch the standard V25 model
ahead of the other V25 series smartphones in India, as per the report. The
vanilla Vivo V25 could launch in India either on August 17 or August 18. So, we
are still six weeks away from the series’ debut in the country. Likewise, the
V25 Pro will reportedly go official in India in the next few weeks. Further, a
new Vivo V25 variant could make its debut alongside the V25 Pro in September.
Also, Vivo is prepping to launch the Vivo V25e in India.
Notably, the Vivo V25e will be the most
affordable smartphone in the series. Regrettably, details about the Vivo V25e
India launch are still scarce. Further, the report suggests that the launch
timelines are likely to change due to supply chain issues. Moreover, the Covid
19 pandemic could affect the series’ launch in the country. To recap, more than
13,500 Vivo smartphones were recently found to run the same IMEI number in
India. As a result, the authorities sent a formal notice to Vivo India earlier
this month.
It is still unclear whether the IMEI
tampering could affect the Vivo V25 series’ launch in the country. Meanwhile,
past leaks have divulged some key specs of the Vivo V25 series smartphones. For
instance, the V25 Pro will be reportedly available in three configurations.
These include 8GB RAM+128GB storage, 8GB RAM+256GB storage, and 12GB RAM+256GB
storage. The Pro variant could sport a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz
refresh rate. Moreover, the screen could offer Full HD+ resolution.
For optics, the handset will reportedly
have a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony IMX766V sensor. Moreover,
it could come with a 12MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP portrait sensor on the
back. Upfront, the phone could house a 32MP shooter for selfies and video
calling. Under the hood, the phone will pack a Dimensity 8100 SoC. The phone
will reportedly use a 4500mAh battery to draw its juices. Also, this cell will
support 80W fast charging.
The vanilla Vivo V25, on the other hand,
will sport a 6.62-inch AMOLED panel. This screen will offer FHD+ resolution.
Further, it will deliver a decent 90Hz refresh rate. It is likely to get a
Mediatek Dimensity 1200 or Snapdragon 778G SoC. The phone will come with a
4,500mAh battery that supports 44W or 66W fast charging. Also, it will retain
the same camera setup as the V25 Pro model.
