Vivo is gearing up to launch another V series of smartphones soon. The newest addition to the family is the V25 series, which follows the V23 series that was launched earlier this year. Now, we have some details regarding its specifications and its possible launch timeline.
According to a TechYorker report, the
Chinese smartphone maker is planning on releasing the V25 and V25 Pro in India
in just a few weeks. The lineup will be unveiled sometime in the middle of July
2022. The new Vivo smartphones will be the company’s latest premium smartphones
and are expected to be priced somewhere between 30,000 INR (US$ 385) and 40,000 INR (US$ 512). Keep in mind that this is
still unconfirmed so take it with a pinch of salt for now.
The new report further revealed the
storage configurations for the V25 Pro, which will apparently launch in three
variants. This includes the 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB models.
Furthermore, the device is rumored to sport a 6.56 inch AMOLED display that has
a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate as well. On the rear, it will
feature a triple camera setup that includes a 50 megapixel Sony IMX766V primary
sensor, a 12 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 2 megapixel portrait
camera.
Meanwhile, the front houses a 32 megapixel
selfie shooter. Notably, the Pro variant may also house the MediaTek Dimensity
8100 SoC and a 4,500mAh battery pack that supports 80W fast charging. On the
other hand, the base V25 will reportedly feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G
processor or a Dimensity 1200 SoC. It might pack a 4,500mAh battery as well,
but with support for a slower 44W or 66W fast charging. The device is rumored
to have a 16 megapixel selfie shooter, and a rear camera module that is
identical to the Pro variant.
