There’s a new stylus-wielding phone on the US market and it's exclusive to T-Mobile users for now. At $258 TCL Stylus 5G is a fraction of the cost of Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra yet you still get the convenience of a built-in stylus. While less advanced than the Samsung's Bluetooth S Pen, TCL Stylus 5G has some custom software tweaks like a GIF creator, screen magnification, images scribbling and storing e-signatures. TCL is also bundling some apps that take advantage of the phone’s stylus like MyScript Calculator 2 (US$ 2.99) and Nebo Notes (US$ 11.99).
TCL Stylus brings a 6.81-inch LCD with
FHD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The display also packs a 13MP selfie
cam. The back houses a 50MP main sensor (0.64μm pixels) alongside a 5MP
ultrawide module, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth lens. MediaTek’s Dimensity
700 5G chip sits at the helm alongside 4GB RAM and 128GB storage which is
expandable up to 2TB via the microSD slot. The software side is covered by
Android 12 while the battery capacity comes in at 4,000 mAh and does up to 18W
charging. The phone also brings a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and
headphone jack.
TCL Stylus 5G comes in a single Lunar
Black color and is already available from T-Mobile for US$ 258.
