Motorola might be looking to breathe some new life into its "Go" line of phones. At least that's what a leaked render hints at. The images, courtesy of an industry leakster, showcase what is clearly a budget phone with sort of a retro design.
Since the image is a controls layout tour
of sorts, a few specs are listed right on it. We can see some thick bezels and
a particularly wide chin from the front with what is described as a
"multi-touch display". Most likely an LCD. It has a teardrop notch
that houses a 5MP selfie camera.
The control layout seems very familiar,
too, with a volume rocker and power button on the right-hand side and a combo
SIM and microSD card tray on the left. So expandable storage is confirmed, but
it remains to be seen if the slot is dedicated or not. There is a fingerprint
reader around back inside a classic Motorola logo dimple. Many people find that
location particularly comfortable.
We can also clearly see that the alleged
Moto g Go has a headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. More than likely just one
mono speaker. In terms of cameras, the image confirms a 13MP primary snapper
and a 2MP complementary one, which is either a depth sensor or a dedicated
macro.
