Coolpad has started teasing the debut of a new smartphone in China. The company is yet to reveal the name of the handset. However, it has disclosed a few details about it, including its launch date.
Coolpad has confirmed to launch a
smartphone in China on June 13. According to the brand’s official Weibo
account, this phone will arrive with a large FHD display and dual stereo
speakers. The company also says that the device’s replacement and warranty
period will be double the industry standard of 15 days and 1 year,
respectively. This is not surprising as the firm’s Coolpad Cool 20 Pro already
comes with a 2-year warranty and a 90-day replacement guarantee.
The brand has only revealed the
aforementioned details so far. But a tipster has shed more information on the
upcoming phone. According to him, the handset will be called Coolpad Cool 20s.
Further, he has even listed some of its specs, which match with the mysterious
Coolpad smartphone that got certified by TENAA in May.
Therefore, the so-called Coolpad Cool 20s
will likely flaunt a 6.58-inch TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 2408 x 1080
pixels (FHD+) and 16.7 million colors. It will be powered by a 5G-enabled
chipset featuring a 2.2GHz octa-core CPU. The device will house a 50MP rear
camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. As per the tipster, the main rear sensor
will be Samsung JN1 and it will be accompanied by a 2MP secondary sensor.
The handset will get its juice from a
4,4000mAh battery, which will have support for 18W fast charging. It will
measure 163.02 x 74.75 x 8.28mm in dimensions and weigh 180g. Finally, the
phone will be available in three colors (black, white, and blue) and three
memory configurations (4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB).
