Lenovo has launched the ThinkPad Neo 14 for its China market. The ThinkPad Neo 14 is a 14-inch ThinkPad that bears some semblance to the ThinkBook 14p. The China-exclusive ThinkPad Neo 14 has the previous codename ThinkPad E14 Pro and comes with decent features.
As reflected in its name, the ThinkPad Neo
14 has a 14-inch, 2.2K display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Its design is a
departure from the ThinkPad E series as it adopted a classical top base hinge
design. The hinge design created space at the rear for placing the cooling fan
exhausts, as well as the USB-A and HDMI ports.
The ThinkPad Neo 14 features the ThinkPad
keyboard and TrackPoint, and the CPU is Intel Alder-Lake. The CPU has the
option of being equipped with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 GPU. The battery
capacity of the ThinkPad Neo 14 is 57 Wh and the device has a RAM capacity of
up to 32GB.
China-based customers can get the ThinkPad
Neo 14 laptop starting at the equivalent of US$ 1,150. It will come in black and
silver aluminum chassis, but there are no indications yet that it could be
available in select markets subsequently. The ThinkPad brand was formerly under
IBM. Lenovo acquired IBM’s PC division in 2005, thus taking ownership of the
ThinkPad brand.
