The Xiaomi Pad 5 was unveiled last August, and it finally debuted in India with two memory options - 6GB/128GB and 6GB/256GB. The former is priced at INR 26,999 (US$ 350/€ 330) and the latter will cost you INR 28,999 (US$ 380/€ 360). However, both versions will be available for INR 2,000 (US$ 26/€ 24) less for a limited time, and you'll also get a discount of INR 2,000 (US$ 26/€ 24) if you buy the tablet using your HDFC Bank debit/credit card.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 will be available for
purchase starting May 3 through Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Amazon.in, and other
retail partners. Xiaomi also introduced the Smart Pen and Pad 5 Keyboard in
India, which will be sold separately, but Xiaomi hasn't revealed their prices
yet.
Talking about the specs, the Xiaomi Pad 5
comes with the Snapdragon 860 chip, boots MIUI 13 for Pad, and packs an
11" QHD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. And since this is a tablet, we
don't get a multi-camera setup like smartphones, but there's still a single
13MP camera on the Pad 5's rear and an 8MP unit on the front for selfies and
video calls.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 also features quad
speakers and has support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It has an 8,720 mAh
battery under the hood with 33W charging support, but the bundled adapter can
only go up to 22.5W.
