Vivo has a busy schedule ahead with the upcoming launch of the flagship X80 series in late April and the T1 Pro smartphone which is said to debut in May. Now, the Vivo S15 and the S15 Pro have also made an appearance on TENAA hinting at an imminent launch.
According to MySmartPrice, the Vivo S15
with model number V2199A and the Vivo S15 Pro with model number V2203A have
recently been spotted on the TENAA database. The listing reveals that both the
S15 and the 15 Pro are 5G-enabled devices. The S15 Pro will sport a 6.62-inch
display which will likely be an AMOLED panel with high refresh rate. The
listing also reveals that the smartphone will feature a 4400mAh battery, will
run Android 12 out of the box, and will measure 161.09 x 74.31 x 7.99mm.
On the other hand, the vanilla S15 will
also come with a 6.62-inch display, likely AMOLED with high refresh rate. The
battery on this device will be a bit larger at 4580mAh, but as a result, it
will also be a bit thicker than the Pro variant measuring at 163 x 76.16 x
8.54mm. The last bit of information provided by TENAA on the Vivo S15 is that
the device will run Android 12 out of the box.
According to previous leaks, the Vivo S15
will house a Snapdragon 870 chipset under its hood accompanied by 12 GB of RAM.
It is likely to feature a 50-megapixel primary front-facing camera, which could
be coupled with a 12 / 13-megapixel ultrawide camera.
The S15 Pro will have the Dimensity 8100
chipset and is said to feature an OLED screen with curved edges. Both of these
phones are expected to have other features, like an in-screen fingerprint
scanner, an IR blaster, a linear motor, and NFC.
