Skagen has released its new Falser Gen 6 smartwatch in India, in collaboration with Fossil Group, with a 42mm design inspired by Danish. The smartwatch features Google WearOS, GPS, replaceable bands, water resistance up to 30 metres, a 1.28-inch full round 326 PPI touchscreen digital display, similar to the Fossil Gen 6 that was launched last year.
Falster Gen 6 is powered by Qualcomm’s
latest Snapdragon Wear 4100+ platform, which is complemented with 1GB RAM and
8GB internal storage. The enhanced heart rate sensor in Gen 6 allows for
continuous tracking and better signal accuracy. Users will also benefit from
the new SpO2 sensor, which tracks an estimate of the wearer’s blood oxygen
levels over time to determine how well your body is circulating oxygen.
Customers will be able to download new Wear
OS apps and experiences from their favourite companies on Google Play,
including new capabilities such as offline playback for premium YouTube Music
and Spotify Premium users. In 2022, the smartwatch will be eligible for the
Wear OS 3 system update, as well as other improvements that will improve the
overall user experience.
It includes a built-in speaker system that
allows the user to answer calls directly from the timepiece. In addition, the
user can use Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, third-party apps to play music,
and Google Translate to translate text. Skagen says that the smartwatch can
charge to 80% in less than 30 minutes and can deliver up to 24+ hours of
battery life (depending on usage) or multiple days in Extended Battery Mode.
The Skagen Falster Gen 6 will be available
in silver-tone, charcoal, and black case colors and will retail for will retail
for INR 21,995. It will be available on skagen.com this month.
