Samsung quietly launched the Galaxy M53 smartphone, and now it is time for the device to reach store shelves. The first major market confirmed for the mid-range phone in India - it will arrive on April 22.
The Galaxy M53 borrowed some specs from
its mightier sibling Galaxy A73, including the 6.7” Super AMOLED+ screen with a
120 Hz refresh rate and a 5,000 mAh battery. There is also a 108 MP main camera
and a 32 MP selfie shooter, but aside from that, the specs are pretty basic.
The quad-cam setup on the back is
completed by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and two 2 MP shooters for macro
and portrait photos. The chipset is allegedly Dimensity 900 with two Cortex-A78
cores at 2.4 GHz, and memory is 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. We do not know how
much would the Galaxy M53 cost in India, but given the INR 24,999 (US$ 325) cost of
the predecessor, we expect the new price tag to be in the same ballpark.
