Honor has announced its new Magic-series smartphones in the form of Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro for the global markets a couple of months ago and in China last month. Now, the devices are all set to go on sale in the company’s home market. The Honor Magic 4 Pro is now available for pre-order in the Chinese market through Honor Mall and major e-commerce and company authorized stores. It comes with a starting price of 5,499 yuan, which is about US$ 863.
The base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB
storage is priced at 5,499 yuan (US$ 863) while the model with 12GB RAM and 265GB
storage costs 5,899 yuan (US$ 926). The top-end model with 12GB RAM and 512GB
storage is priced at 6,499 yuan (US$ 1,020). It comes in Cyan, Gold, Black, and
White color options along with a vegan leather edition in Orange. The device
will be available for purchase in the Chinese market from 22nd April.
The Honor Magic 4 Pro features a 6.81-inch
LTPO OLED display with 1312 x 2848 pixels screen resolution and a variable
refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It also offers 460 PPI pixel density, and a 360Hz
touch sampling rate. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, coupled with Adreno 730 GPU that also offers GPU Turbo X to make the gaming performance
stronger. For better protection of privacy, it comes integrated with an
independent chipset offering a dual TEE security system. It also packs a
self-developed Honor Image Engine chip to enhance the photography experience.
In the camera department, there’s a
triple-camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel wide primary sensor, a
50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens
with 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. On the front side, there’s a
12-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.
The phone has an ultrasonic in-display
fingerprint sensor. The IP68-rated water and dust resistant smartphone comes
with support for dual-band Wi-Fi with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2×2 MIMO, HE160,
4096 QAM support, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, NFC, and GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and
Galileo. The Honor Magic 4 Pro is powered by a 4,600mAh battery that supports
100W fast charging.
