iQOO only in December last year launched the Neo5S as a slightly upgraded version of the Neo5, but now looks to be gearing up to launch a successor to the duo already in the form of the iQOO Neo6. While a launch date of the device is yet to be revealed, its key specifications have been leaked, courtesy of notable tipster Panda is Bald.
With a post on Weibo, the tipster compared
the specifications of the iQOO Neo5S to the iQOO Neo6, highlighting
improvements across the board. The upcoming phone sports a 6.6-inch E4 straight
screen, is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, and has a 4,700mAh
battery with 80W charging support. There’s also some fancy tech for heat
dissipation but its specifics were lost in translation.
The iQOO Neo6 was earlier mistaken to be
the phone with model number V2154A, which in December made an appearance on
Google Play Console. After release, V2154A was actually found to be the iQOO
Neo5S. Regardless, now that the first leaks pertaining to the device are
finally here, we should be hearing more about it in the coming days. The usual
process starts with leaks, then with an appearance on certification sites, and
finally official teasers just before the release.
It is possible that the iQOO Neo6 will
also have a pressure-sensitive display since the Neo5S had it, but that’s only
speculation as of now.
