LG’s full 2022 audio lineup was on display at the CES 2022, giving customers a peek at the quality of audio devices they can expect from the brand this year. Booth visitors had the chance to see the XBOOM 360, UltraGear Gaming Speaker, and the TONE Free lineup. But, for those in the market for a home entertainment system, the LG S95QR was the real star of the show.
The LG S95QR has an impressive output of 810W and 9.1.5
channels, but what really takes the cake is its up-firing speaker. Claimed by
LG to be a world-first, the main soundbar’s center speaker is upward-facing
along with 4 other similarly oriented channels – two flanking it and another two
fitted in the separate rear speakers. This allows the audio system to shoot up
sound, which then bounces off the ceiling and, in LG’s words, creates a
"holistic" "surround sound immersion." Throw in a large
subwoofer and you couldn’t ask for a more immersive audio experience than what
this audio solution brings to the table.
This high-end audio solution is packed with more
technologies to elevate its performance. Customers get to enjoy audio pimped up
by Dolby Atmos, DTS:X decoding, AI Room Calibration, as well as Meridian
Audio’s Horizon technology in Music Mode. LG doesn’t want gamers to miss out.
They also included a variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode for
customers who own gaming consoles, or maybe for those eager enough to hook up
their gaming PCs with premium speakers.
Connectivity-wise, the LG S95QR also doesn’t lack in this
department. It comes with compatibility with AI assistants such as Google
Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Customers can also connect via the LG WOWCAST Wi-Fi
audio dongle. The sound system is positioned as a premium audio offering so you
can expect all this cutting-edge technology to come with a hefty price tag.
