In 2021, Xiaomi did not release any entry-level smartphones for the first time since the lineup was introduced. For those who are wondering, we are talking about the Redmi A series and the newer Redmi C series. Last year, we only saw the launch of the Redmi Note models and the vanilla Redmi number model in the 10th generation of Redmi phones. The handsets that were left out might finally launch in India soon.
According to Xiaomiui, the Redmi 10A and the Redmi 10C might
finally go official in India a year late. This is interesting to learn as
Xiaomi has already started introducing the 11th generation of Redmi smartphones
with the Redmi Note 11 series.
The publication says that the Redmi 10A is codenamed
‘Thunder’ and ‘Light’. On the other hand, the Redmi 10C is codenamed ‘Fog’,
‘Rain’, and ‘Wind’. These phones have different codenames as they will vary
slightly based on the regions they will be sold in. The latter model will be
also sold as a POCO-branded device in some markets.
