Smartphone maker Oukitel has debuted its first portable power station the P2001 which was the culmination of its crowdfunding efforts. The P2001 portable Power Station is a leap for the company that is known for the manufacture of rugged smartphones under the Oukitel brand. The P2001 is a first-generation power station with a power capacity of 2000Wh and offers an array of options for its use. It has AC and USB-C ports as part of its architecture aimed at providing an off-grid electricity supply to some basic household devices for extended periods.
The Oukitel P2001 portable power station
is capable of charging both mobile devices and several home appliances. Its
power rating means that the P2001 can charge a single device several times
before it drains out. The P2001 is thus a super-power bank that will be handy
when you are suddenly cut from mains electricity due to several issues. To put
the P2001 in perspective, it can charge a single smartphone 100 times, or power
a 65W mini-refrigerator for up to 35 hours. The Oukitel P2001. Other devices
that could be fully charged multiple times using the P2001 include a drone, an
electric vehicle or electric motorbike, a projector, and a PC.
The power solutions available with the
Oukitel P2001 at the home, office, or even outdoors should make the device
appeal to a large segment of the market. It has up to 16 power output ports
that can be used simultaneously, and this enhances the versatility of the
P2001, coupled with its portability. There are 6 USB ports, with two of them
rated USB-C for fast 100W charging, 6 AC outputs, two 12V/3A DC ports, and a
120W XT60 socket. The Oukitel P2001 is capable of being fully charged within 2
hours, according to Oukitel with its 1.1kW charging unit. Oukitel also says
that the charge rate is much higher for the P2001 than some of the established
brands in the market. It also comes with a built-in adapter, which is missing
in some of the popular models.
The Oukitel P2001 is now available on
Kickstarter for an introductory price of US$ 999, which is a massive 48% discount
from its retail price. The mouth-watering price offer has already drawn tens of
buyers to the product, and it is expected that the numbers will continue to
surge. The device will be available from March 2022 especially in the United
States, Canada, and a few selected countries, according to sources.
