The Motorola Edge X30 was announced in China last month running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and the phone will likely hit the global market pretty soon as evident by its newly collected NBTC certification.
The papers reveal the phone will get a
name change before it ventures abroad, though. The documentation reads
"Motorola Edge 30 Pro" instead of Edge X30. And we know it's the same
phone because its model number is XT2201-1 compared to X30's XT2201-2. The
digit after the dash typically denotes reginal versions of the same phone as
will be the case with those two.
The listing has no further details, but of
course the Edge X30 is official so there isn't much we don't already know about
it. The things missing are availability dates and pricing for global markets
and we hope Motorola fills us in on those soooner rather than later.
