Acer announced a new laptop with an environmentally friendly and sustainable design called the Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition. Read on! The Acer Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition is the company's commitment to providing a more sustainable future through its products. Each purchase of this eco-friendly laptop helps support the US-based global nonprofit organization, National Geographic Society.
The style of the original Aspire Vero is
characterized by the material blend utilized in its chassis, which is made up
of 30 percent post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. This plastic was carefully
chosen for its longevity, rigidity, and looks. Without the use of paint, yellow
pigment dots contrast with the rough grey surface to give the laptop
personality.
The National Geographic Edition of the
Aspire Vero expands on this aesthetic to provide a stylish look. The first
thing users will notice are many diagonal lines that span across about half of
the top cover. These lines, taken from a topographic map, divide the laptop's
surface into land and sea and refer to the impact of increasing sea levels due
to global warming. The classic National Geographic yellow border is printed
onto the bottom right corner of the keyboard when the laptop is opened. The
statement "For Planet Earth" is written in yellow text on the
spacebar.
The laptop is put in Acer's innovative
packaging design, which uses just 85 percent recycled paper, a 100 percent
industrial recycled plastic (PIR) laptop sleeve, and an extra sheet of 100
percent PIR plastic that rests between the display and keys. Inside, it has an
11th Gen Intel Core processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics as well as easily
replaceable RAM and SSD. It also has WiFi 6, USB-C port, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen1, and
Windows 11 out of the box.
