China Telecom had announced the Maimang 10 smartphone, dropping the Huawei branding from the name as the Huawei Maimang brand has now been acquired by China Telecom. Today, the Maimang 10 goes on sale in China for the first time through the official store of Huawei on JD.com for the price of 2,299 yuan which roughly converts to US$ 361. It is offered in three colors — Aurora Blue, Pearl White, and Obsidian Black.
The smartphone features a 6.6-inch LCD
display that offers a 2400 × 1080 pixels screen resolution, 94.2 percent
screen-to-body ratio, a 90Hz screen refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch response
rate. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset which
consists of four fast ARM Cortex-A76 cores and four power-efficient Cortex-A55
cores, all clocked at 2GHz along with the Mali-G57 GPU. The phone packs 8GB of
RAM and 128GB of internal storage with support for expandable storage using a
microSD card.
As for the camera department, there’s a
40-megapixel AI primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a
2-megapixel macro camera. On the front side, the device features a 16-megapixel
snapper for selfies and video calls. The Maimang 10 smartphone is powered by a
4,000mAh battery which comes with support for 40W fast charging technology. The
device measures around 8.3mm in thickness and weighs just 179 grams.
