vivo sub-brand iQOO unveiled the iQOO 8 and 8 Pro in August and followed up with a Pilot Edition of the latter in September. The company is expected to introduce the iQOO 9 series sometime next month, and while it hasn't said much about the lineup yet, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has detailed the iQOO 9 and 9 Pro's displays.
The tipster says that the iQOO 9 and iQOO
9 Pro will pack 6.78" Samsung-made E5 OLED displays. However, the one on
the vanilla model will have FullHD+ resolution, while the Pro version's panel
will have 2K resolution and curved edges.
Since the iQOO 8 and 8 Pro came with 120Hz
screens, you can expect their successors to also pack 120Hz refresh rate
panels, if not more. Earlier this month, iQOO announced it would launch a
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered smartphone but didn't reveal its name or provide any
launch time frame. However, it's safe to say that the company was referring to
the iQOO 9 Pro, and it remains to be seen if the iQOO 9 will also have Qualcomm's
latest silicone at the helm or if it will come with something else. We'll
hopefully find out more as the new year approaches.
