ASUS has launched the ROG Phone 5s series in the Philippines, two of the company's most powerful gaming phones yet. The two phones are ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro. Coming from the ROG Phone 5, the two are now packed with the Snapdragon 888 Plus instead of SD888. To recap D888+ is the overclocked version of SD888 with up 2.95GHz clock speed with an upgraded AI Engine with a 20 percent boost in performance at 32 TOPS (from 26 TOPS).
For the display, the two
phones are packed with the 20.4:9 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED E4 display with
Gorilla Glass Victus protection, 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, FHD+ 2448 x 1080
resolution, HDR10+, 151 percent sRGB, 111 percent DCI-P3, up to 1,200 nits peak
brightness, and an In-Display fingerprint reader.
The touch sampling rate is up
to 360Hz from 300Hz coming from the regular ROG Phone 5. At the back, only the
ROG Phone 5s Pro has the matrix color display additional sensors. For the rest
of the specs, ROG Phone 5s has 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1. ROG
Phone 5s Pro comes with 18GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Both are equipped with a 6,000mAh battery with USB-C 65W fast
charging, ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 5/grip press, 64MP + 13MP
ultra-wide + 5MP macro triple-cam setup, 24MP selfie sensor, front-firing
stereo speakers, WiFi 6, dual SIM 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GNSS. ROG Phone 5s is available in
Phantom Black and Storm White colors while the Phone 5s Pro comes in Phantom
Black.

Both ROG Phone 5s variants in
Phantom Black or Storm White colorways will be available in the Philippines at
the end of December 2021. ROG Phone 5s Pro 18GB/512GB edition will be available
in Phantom Black colorway starting mid-December of 2021. It'll come with an
Aero Active Cooler 5 worth PHP 2,495.
