Google introduced the Pixel 5a smartphone back in August, but it was limited to U.S. and Japan. Today, the first renders of the upcoming Pixel 6a has surfaced, thanks to @OnLeaks. This shows a 6.2-inch flat OLED screen with a centre punch-hole, compared to a 6.34-inch screen in the Pixel 5a. It also shows an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The render also shows a rear camera bar,
similar to the Pixel 6, but this is slightly smaller. It is said to feature the
same 50-megapixel camera with Samsung GN1 sensor as the Pixel 6 along with a
12-megapixel ultrawide lens. This shows antenna cutouts hinting at a metal
frame and a glass back. There is no 3.5mm audio jack, which is present in the
5a.
It reveals 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7~10.4mm
(including camera bump) dimensions making it slightly thicker than the 5a, so
it could feature a bigger battery compared to the 4,680mAh battery in the Pixel
5a. The Google Pixel 6a should be introduced next year, running Android 12 out
of the box. Hope the phone launches in more markets this time, unlike the Pixel
5a.
