Samsung Electronics just introduced three new Galaxy Book laptops during its launch in the US. The South Korean tech giant officially unveiled the Galaxy Book Odyssey, Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G, and the standard Galaxy Book. According to Samsung, each new Galaxy Book sports a unique design to meet a wide range of tastes—from Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G’s ultra-thin body to Galaxy Book’s refined classic look, to Galaxy Book Odyssey’s rugged beveled style. All three PCs also come with Windows 11.
First off this list is the Samsung Galaxy
Book Odyssey that is tagged as a gaming PC with a high-end design. Weighing
4.08lbs, it has a full metal casing with a mystic black color, without any RGB
lighting that gaming laptops usually have. It comes in Mystic Black Color. Inside,
this is equipped with an Intel Core i7-11600H CPU, featuring 6 cores and 12
threads, plus an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU for graphics. It comes with
different RAM and storage configurations, up to
32GB of RAM and 1TB of memory.
There's an Odyssey Control app that shows
an overview of resource usage. For connectivity, there are two USB Type-C
ports, three USB Type-A, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader. Meanwhile,
the Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G is claimed to be a 5G version of Samsung's
convertible laptop. The company highlights this device's portability. Even
though it has an aluminum build, it just measures 11.43mm in thickness and
weighs only 2.43lbs. This laptop is in Mystic Silver color only.
The Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G boasts of
13.3-inch Full HD AMOLED display. To complete the experience, Samsung partners
this laptop with S Pen for drawing or writing. Under the hood, this premium PC
features 11th-generation Intel Core
processors up to an Intel Core i7-1160G7. It is also packed with up to 16GB of
RAM and 512GB of storage.
For ports, this one sports one Thunderbolt
4 port, two standard USB Type-C ports, a headphone jack, and a microSD card
reader. As mentioned, it has 5G connectivity that supports sub-6GHz networks
only. Last but not least is the standard Samsung Galaxy Book that sports a
full-metal casing. In front, this device has a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen
display. It appears to be not-so-thin, with 15.49mm in thickness. It still is
fairly portable at 3.51lbs and arrives in Mystic Silver color also.
Moreover, this PC sports an
11th-generation Intel Core processor up to an Intel Core i7-1165G7. It also
comes with Intel’s discrete graphics for laptops, Iris Xe MAX. These are
coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, similar to the Galaxy Book
Pro 360. However, this one lacks Thunderbolt support. For connectivity, it has
two regular USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, a headphone jack, HDMI, and
a microSD card reader.
