The Redmi brand is known for its low-price and good-quality products. This statement is true for all kinds of products, starting from smartphones and finishing with larger screen products such as TVs. As for the latter, last year, the company announced the Redmi X series models. They attracted customers’ attention due to high prices and high-end features. Today, the manufacturer unveiled the new generation of the series namely the Redmi X 2022. It includes 65-inch and 55-inch models. Both models come with ultimate cost over performance ratios.
The Redmi X 2022 TV adopts an all-metal
full-screen design as well as a full-array backlight screen. The latter has a
resolution of 4K (3840×2160 pixels), a typical grayscale response time of
6.5ms, a color depth supporting 10-bit (8-bit + FRC), a color gamut coverage of
94% P3, and ΔE≈2. Also, it supports FreeSync Premium and Dolby Vision. It uses
a unique dual 120Hz high-refresh-rate. What does mean unique? It not only has a
refresh rate of up to 120Hz but also supports 120Hz MEMC. This can greatly
improve the definition of dynamic pictures and reduce smear.
As for audio performance, the TV comes
with built-in 4 speakers, 2 air ducts, a sealed box with a 2×0.38L large sound
cavity, and an output power of 2×12.5W, and supports Dolby Atmos. We are
dealing with a top-end TV. So inside, it hosts quite powerful hardware. The
Redmi X 2022 has a processor of MediaTek MTK 9650. This is the same chip in the
Xiaomi Mi TV Master Edition. It still uses a 22nm manufacturing process, integrates
a quad-core A73 1.5GHz CPU, a Mali-G52 2EE MC1 GPU, etc. Its AI computing power
is up to 1T, and it supports AI-PQ, AI -AQ intelligent audio, and picture
adjustment. The chip is paired with a 3GB memory and a 32GB native storage.
here are various interfaces on the back.
They include two HDMI 2.0 (eARC) ports, one HDMI 2.1 (4K120Hz) port, one AV,
one ATV/DTMB, two USB interfaces, one S/PDIF, one RJ-45, and four Mic arrays to
support far-field voice.
Generally, this is a flagship smart TV
with all those goodies you expect a true top-end TV to come with. But following
the brand’s philosophy, it has low prices. The Redmi X 2022 smart TV’s 55-inch
version comes at RMB 2,999 (US$ 469), while the larger model costs RMB 3,499
(US$ 547). The pre-sales have already started. But these TVs will start shipping
on October 31. You can get your hands on it through various platforms such as
JD.com, Xiaomi Mall, and Xiaomi Youpin.
