OPPO is working on a new A-series phone called the OPPO A16, which is likely to replace last year’s OPPO A15. Reputed tipster Evan Blass leaked the renders of the A16 to reveal its design and color variants. The tipster is back with some fresh renders, some of which confirm some of its key specs.
The new renders give a better look at the black, blue, and beige colors of the OPPO A16. The device sports a teardrop notch display on the front, and its back panel has a triple camera system. While its left edge is fitted with volume buttons, its right edge has a power button, which doubles up as a fingerprint scanner.
The other images show that the OPPO A16 is driven by the Helio G35 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery. Even the Geekbench listing of the phone that was spotted last month had revealed that it has the Helio G35 SoC. The listing had further revealed that it has 4 GB of RAM, and it runs on Android 11 OS, which will be overlaid with ColorOS UI.
The OPPO A16 was spotted at the FCC certification site last month. The listing had revealed that its 5,000mAh battery will support only 10W charging. It further revealed that the device is equipped with connectivity features like dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, and Bluetooth.
A recent leak claimed that the OPPO A16 may get rebranded as the OPPO A37 (2021) in some markets. However, there is no official confirmation on the arrival of the A16/A37 (2021). Probably, the handset will go official later this month. Readers can checkout this Blass’ leak on A16 to view some of its other renders.
