HP announced updates to their gaming line up of laptops, with the launch of new OMEN 15 and 17 laptops along with the launch of Victus by HP. They all feature top end CPUs from Intel and AMD, along with up to an GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU and AMD Radeon RX 5500M GPUs.
Victus by HP is a new line up of gaming
laptops from HP, that are designed to be more budget focused when compared to
the HP OMEN line. The first laptop in the line is the Victus by HP 16, which
features up to Intel Core i7-11800H CPU or an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 5800H Mobile
Processor, paired by up to 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz memory. For the GPU, the laptop
can be configured with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU 6 GB and AMD
Radeon RX 5500M, driving up to a QHD 165 Hz display.
The HP OMEN 16 can be configured with up
to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU or an AMD RDNA 2 architecture-based
graphics, and up to an Intel Core i7-11800H series processors7 or 8-core AMD
Ryzen 9 5900HX. For storage, it can be configured up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD or
two 1TB PCIe SSD in Raid 0, and for RAM it supports up to 32GB of DDR4 memory.
The HP OMEN 17 is a more powerful laptop
with up to an 165W NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU and up to Intel Core
i9-11900H processor. Along with this, it can be configured with up to 32GB of
DDR4 RAM and up to a 1TB PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD or up to two 1TB PCIe SSD in Raid 0.
Both the HP OMEN 16 and HP OMEN 17 will come with up to a QHD 165Hz IPS panel
with 3ms response time, and the keyboards have per-key RGB lighting.
The OMEN 16 is expected to be available
this June for a starting price of US$ 1049.99, the OMEN 17 is
expected to be available this June for a starting price of US$ 1,369.99 and the Victus by HP 16 is expected to be available this June for a
starting price of US$ 799.99.
