AMD Radeon PRO W6000 Series

While the AMD Radeon 6000 series GPUs are a great choice for gamers, workstations and professionals often require more performance. To cater to this market segment, AMD has unveiled their next generation Radeon PRO W6000 Series Workstation Graphics that are powered by their RDNA 2 architecture.

The new Radeon PRO W6000 Series consists of three new products – the AMD Radeon PRO W6800, the AMD Radeon PRO W6600 graphics card, and the AMD Radeon PRO W6600M GPU for mobile workstations.

With the Radeon W6000 series GPUs, AMD is introducing many technologies to the workstation GPU ecosystem, such as AMD Infinity Cache and Smart Access Memory. They feature Enhanced Compute Units (CU) with Ray Accelerators, which AMD claims will offer 46 percent faster rendering than the previous generation Radeon PRO graphics cards, and they support Radeon PRO Viewport Boost technology.

The AMD Radeon PRO W6800 graphics card is available starting today for US$ 2,249, while the AMD Radeon PRO W6600 graphics card is expected to be available Q3 2021 for a price of US$ 649. The AMD Radeon PRO W6600M GPUs are expected to be available in the HP Fury ZBook G8 mobile workstation in select countries starting July 2021.
