The Next@Acer 2021 Global Press Conference was held today where they unveiled the Acer Swift X, a thin notebook that has RTX 30 series GPU. A new member has joined the popular line of "Swift" notebooks. This ultra-portable PC is designed to the next level with a premium all-metal chassis. The device weighs lightly at 1.39KG and is 17.9mm thin which makes it perfect for creative professionals, content editors, and streamers.
The Laptop features a 14-inch FHD IPS
display with an 85.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. The screen covers 100
percent of the sRGB color gamut, enough for 4K video and Photo editing. It
supports BlueLightShield technology to lessen eye strains during long hours of
usage.
The laptop is powered by a highly
efficient and extremely powerful AMD "Zen 3" core architecture which
is the 7nm AMD Ryzen 7 5800U mobile processor. Despite its thin body they
manage to put a discrete RTX GPU which is the RTX 3050ti. Acer paired the
internals with a 16GB RAM and can have up to 2TB of storage. For its battery,
they put 59WHr which the company claimed it can deliver of up to 17 hours of
use. Of course, the battery life may vary depending on usage as is it using a
power-hungry graphics card. There's also an AI camera for smoother video calls.
They included plentiful ports such as
USB-C, HDMI, two standard USB ports, audio jack, and micro sd slot. The
notebook has Wi-Fi 6 connection and has a fingerprint scanner for added
protection The laptop uses a cooling fan with 59 0.3 mm blades and a pair of D6
copper heat pipes to optimize its thermal efficiency. A number of innovations
also improve the Swift X's cooling
efficiency such as using an air inlet keyboard design that expels around 8-10
percent more heat compared to a standard keyboard, and a stereo ring with an
inclined plane sitting along the top of the fan which delivers 5-10 percent
improvement in airflow.
The Swift X is available in three color
choices of Black, Pink, and Gold. Stay
tuned with us for the pricing and availability.
