Samsung is expected to launch its new foldables under the names Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 since both of them will be the third iteration of the respective lineup. We don’t know when the phones will be official, but we have learned a lot about them, thanks to a massive leak.
Multiple promo materials that were
supposed to be confidential have spilled all over the internet, revealing the
Galaxy Z Fold3 will have S Pen support, while the Galaxy Z Flip3 will switch to
a vertical camera setup.
The Fold3 will be the first foldable
smartphone with an under-display camera, making it the first Samsung with the
feature as well. It appears that it will be on the side, because of how the
phone is bent in 90 degrees, allowing users to take note with the S Pen.
Looking at the back, the phone will stick
to three lenses, positioned vertically. However, the island will be tiny, and
the LED flash will float on itself right below the shooters. We can also see
the phone now closes in full, leaving no gaps between both sides.
The Galaxy Z Flip3 will have Gorilla Glass
Victus from all sides and will bring a lot bigger display next to the cameras,
allowing for more information to be displayed about the incoming notifications.
Since this foldable is always marketed as a fashion accessory, it will have at
least four colors, but each device will have a dual-tone approach.
