The Samsung Galaxy A22 is reportedly due in June and it looks like it will come in two variants - 4G and 5G. The two phones have a largely identical design and four colors - White, Black, Purple and Mint. Where they differ is in the cameras, displays, chipsets and biometrics.
The Galaxy A22 5G, seen below, will be
powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset with a 5G modem, have a 6.4-inch
display, which given the visible side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner is
likely an LCD.
There will be three cameras on the back of
the Galaxy A22 5G - a 48MP main one, a 5MP (likely ultrawide) and a 2MP
(possibly macro, or just depth). The Galaxy A22 5G is a bit thicker and heavier
than its 4G counterpart at 9mm and 205g, compared to 8.5mm and 185g.
Moving over to the Galaxy A22 4G, it will
be powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. The display is still a 6.4-incher
but expected to be an AMOLED one with a built-in optical fingerprint scanner
(given the regular power button on the side of the phone). Camera-wise there's
a 13MP selfie shooter and a quad camera on the rear - 48MP + 5MP + 2MP + 2MP.
Both the 4G and 5G Galaxy A22 will feature
a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging.
