Michael Kors, the company known for making luxury watches, has announced that its smartwatch — Michael Kors Access Gen 5E Darci is now available for purchase in India. For those who are unaware, the device was first announced at CES 2021 in January this year.
It is priced at Rs 25,995 which roughly
converts to US$ 354 and can be purchased through online marketplace Amazon. The
device is being offered in three color options — Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver.
The Michael Kors Access Gen 5E Darci smartwatch features top ring and a 7-link
bracelet. There’s a 1.19-inch touchscreen display with 390 x 390 pixels screen
resolution. It is powered by Google’s Wear OS and works with both Android and
iOS devices.
As for the connectivity, the device comes
with support for Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC, and Wi-Fi. It also supports
Bluetooth-based calling and there’s a speaker which allows users to converse
through Google Assistant or to play music.
It also comes with a new Wellness App that
monitors real-time metrics and optimizes battery life by shifting power
consumption off the main processor. The company says that it also packs an
optimized activity tracker and thus the smartwatch can track heart rate, pace,
distance, steps, and sleep.
There is a multi-day battery mode that
allows users to choose between four battery settings as per their preferences.
It comes with a magnetic USB rapid charger that is claimed to juice up the
smartwatch to up to 80 percent 50 minutes.
