The TWS market is booming globally for the past few years and it is weird that a notable audio brand like Marshall is late to that party. But, it is better late than never. Marshall has just launched the company's very first TWS earphones called the Mode II.
The Mode II is reminiscent of the wired
Mode with a large "M" logo, Black matte-like finish at the back, and
a half in-ear design for shallow insertion and arguably better comfort. The
body just appears to be a little bigger as it sports other components inside
allowing it to be a wireless device. It also has an IPX5 water-resistance
rating for the buds and IPX4 for the case.
Marshall claimed that it uses a
custom-tuned 6mm dynamic driver to create a "rich audio experience with
growling bass, natural-sounding mids, and crisp treble". The buds connect
via Bluetooth 5.1 technology. It can also be controlled with a touch of your
finger. This also has a Transparency mode, EQ settings, and native voice
assistant. This also has a dual microphone for audio recordings and calls.
The Mode II also has a promise of
delivering 5 hours of wireless playtime on a single charge and a total playback
time of 25 hours with the help of the carrying case with LED light. The
carrying case can provide up to 4 times of extra charge to the earphones. All
you need to do is touch the right earbud to control playback settings and touch
either earbud to receive or end phone calls. Each bud weighs 4.75 grams. The
case weighs 35 grams. The box will come with the unit itself, USB-C charging
cable, ear tips (S, M, L, XL), a user manual, and safety information.
Marshall Mode II price is USD 199.
