On Tuesday, Honor released a new teaser video on the brand’s official Weibo handle announcing the official release date for the Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition 5G. The device will be officially unveiled on March 23 in a livestream event.
This new device looks just like the ones
we saw in the recently leaked images. Yes, the one that looks exactly like the
Huawei nova 8 5G from the back. With this teaser we see the front of the device
and the singular punch-hole selfie camera and the similarities with the nova 8
are uncanny. This new view also shows us the display has dual curved edges like
the nova 8.
According to the report from My Fix Guide,
the Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity
800U chipset and support 65W fast charging on its 3,800 mAh battery. The
display will also support 90Hz refresh rate and given the absence of an
external fingerprint scanner, we speculate it will be embedded in the OLED
display like its Huawei counterpart.
If we were to go off the Huawei nova 8,
that quad-camera setup may consist of a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and
dual 2MP depth and macro cameras.
