Sony is expected to bring the Xperia 1 III and the Xperia 10 III very soon. The midranger has now appeared on Geekbench with a somewhat surprising chipset - the Qualcomm lito, better known as Snapdragon 765G.
The SoC might be hidden behind a moniker,
but the Geekbench results align with other SD 765G-powered devices. What is
more surprising is that Sony will go for the relatively old 5G chipset, rather
than the previously rumored Snapdragon 690 5G - after all, the Xperia 10 II
also went for a 6-series platform - the 665.
The Geekbench listing also revealed the
new Xperia 10 III will have a 6GB RAM option, which will be a first for the
midrangers - both predecessors maxed out at 4GB. Having more storage and a
faster chipset raises the logical question of whether the new phone will stick
to a relatively low price tag of around US$ 350 or will come with an increased
price.
