We've been hearing about the Galaxy F62 for some time now, and while there's no word from Samsung about it yet, an IANS report citing industry sources says Samsung will launch the Galaxy F62 in India in mid-February for less than INR 25,000 (US$ 340/€ 285) with an Exynos chip and a 7,000 mAh battery.
A separate report claims the Galaxy F62
(SM-E625F) will pack a 6.7" Super AMOLED display and feature a 32MP selfie
shooter and a 64MP primary camera. The smartphone will be offered in Green and
Blue colors and run Android 11-based One UI 3.1 out of the box. The Galaxy F62
will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, although there could be other memory
options as well that are yet to be confirmed.
Neither reports tell us what Exynos chip
the F62 will have at the helm, but thanks to Geekbench, we know the F62 will be
powered by an Exynos 9825 SoC. The Galaxy F62 is expected to be a rebranded
Galaxy M62 (SM-M625F/DS) for some markets since its model code SM-E625F was
mentioned in M62's FCC listing.
FCC revealed the Galaxy M62 will ship with
a 7,000 mAh battery and a 25W charger, and it will also have a 3.5mm headphone
jack and a USB-C port on board.
