Xiaomi 55W GaN charger

After the official launch of the Xiaomi Mi 11 yesterday, the company also released a couple of accessories for this smartphone.  For the first time ever, a Xiaomi phone will not come with a charger in the box. Nevertheless, the company has promised that the charger will be readily available for users to purchase. In fact, on the sales of the Mi 11, there is an option to buy this charger with the phone. Today, GizmoAlpha spotted the Xiaomi 55W GaN charger + 6A cable on the shelf at JD.com. This device is on pre-sale for 99 yuan (US$ 15) and the first outright sale will take place on January 1st.

The Xiaomi 55W GaN charger is very portable with a sleek appearance. This device comes with a built-in smart chip and can charge mobile phones, laptops, and other common devices. According to the company, it supports AC100 to 240V wide voltage input and can be used anywhere.

The Xiaomi original 55W GaN charger supports 5V3A, 9V3A, 11V5A, and 20V2.5A Max output. If you have the Xiaomi Mi 11, then you can expect a maximum 55W charging output. In terms of safety, Xiaomi’s original 55W GaN charger supports short-circuit protection, over-current protection, over-temperature protection, and under-voltage protection.
