Oppo introduced the A93 last October and the company will soon follow it up with its 5G variant that's appeared on China Telecom with its specs, images, and price. The Oppo A93 5G (PEHM00) looks different from its 4G counterpart. It sports a curved screen with a punch hole for a single camera and has rear cameras housed inside a rectangular island.
The A93 5G is powered by the Snapdragon
480 SoC, runs Android 11, and has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard. It packs a
6.5" FullHD+ screen, and while the listing doesn't tell us its type, we
are likely looking at an AMOLED panel since the 4G model also features one. For
photography, the Oppo A93 5G has a total of four cameras onboard - an 8MP
selfie shooter and a 48MP primary camera on the back joined by two 2MP units
(likely depth and macro). Fueling the entire package is a 5,000 mAh battery,
which according to 3C will charge at up to 18W.
The rest of the highlights of the Oppo A93
5G include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB-C
port. The smartphone will be priced at CNY 2,199 (US$ 340/€ 280) and will come in
Aurora, Dazzling Black, and Elegant Silver colors (machine translated from
Chinese). There's no word from Oppo about the A93 5G yet, but China Telecom
claims the smartphone will arrive on January 15.
